LowestMed provides consumers with prescription drug pricing information that helps manage and reduce healthcare expenses. The company’s discount drug programs help consumers know the costs at local pharmacies so they can effectively compare prices, resulting in significant savings in both time and out-of-pocket costs. LowestMed makes prescription drug pricing transparent, utilizing user-friendly technology and proprietary, up-to-date information.

The LowestMed App enables consumers to use their mobile devices to see price differences at local pharmacies in order to immediately get the best price. The app integrates an electronic discount card to enable consumers to get discounts simply by showing the codes on their phone to the pharmacy at the time of purchase.

LowestMed also provides Rx Discount Cards to individuals and affiliate organizations. These discount programs help consumers without insurance or on high-deductible plans pay significantly less than retail prices. In addition, LowestMed supports all consumers by publishing the elusive $4 and $5 discount generic drugs on the LowestMed app and on the company’s website.

Management team

Brad Bangerter, Founder and President

Brad Bangerter is the founder and president of LowestMed. Brad has 30 years of experience developing and managing healthcare systems related products. For eight years preceding the founding of LowestMed, Brad was vice president of operations and product implementation at ProviderPay, which was bought by Zion’s Bancorporation. In that capacity he worked with over 1,100 pharmacies and all major pharmacy claim payers. Previously, as a managed care executive at FHP Healthcare and John Hancock National Account Services, Brad worked with prominent regional and national healthcare organizations throughout the country. Throughout his career in healthcare benefits, Brad observed that most consumers don’t know that prices vary from one pharmacy to another and it is virtually impossible to get anything other than retail prices before going to the pharmacy. Determined to help others navigate through the complex healthcare system and pierce the veil of drug pricing, he started LowestMed.

Leonard Grover, Vice President of Sales

Leonard Grover is vice president of sales of LowestMed. Leonard brings over 30 years of healthcare sales management and consulting experience. He was a principle consultant at Mercer on their national healthcare team. In this capacity, he was a recognized leader in healthcare consumer initiatives and pharmacy benefit management arrangements. As an advocate of consumer directed health plans and health savings accounts, Leonard has witnessed firsthand how LowestMed can save money in these plans.

Darren D'Orlando, IT Director

Darren is the IT Director of LowestMed. Darren has worked in the IT industry for the last 10 years. His background includes software design, architecture, development and Enterprise IT infrastructure. At Blackfin Technology, Darren provided development and consulting services to Hewlett-Packard. Later, Darren served as a software developer and IT Director for Speaking Roses International. For the last 5 years, Darren has been responsible for building, maintaining and supporting enterprise applications.
